Expert Workshops for the development of an Action Plan on the 8EAP and future EU and National Environmental Policy
Based on the outcomes of the Policy Forum on “Shaping the Future of EU Environmental Policy”, our three different expert workshops will provide you with an opportunity to move from theory to practice and to actively participate in the development of concrete action steps for future EU and national environmental policy.
Guided by professional moderators, you will develop practical ideas for both content and structure of an 8EAP. Together we will explore and construct potential solutions to Europe’s most pressing issues and identify pathways for
- Driving systemic change through future EU and national environmental policies (Workshop I: 9:30 AM-1.30 PM)
- The role of business and finance in future EU and national environmental policies (Workshop II: 2:30 PM-6:30 PM)
- Strengthening accountability and sharing responsibilities in future EU and national environmental policies (Workshop III: 2:30 PM-6:30 PM)
Participants of all three workshops are invited to join the networking lunch from 1.30 to 2.30 pm. Please register below.
The workshops are bringing together representatives from civil society organisations, the administration, think tanks, businesses, politics and local authorities. Please note that an intimate knowledge of the Environment Action Programmes is not needed. The necessary background information will be presented by the organizers. The results of the workshops will be presented at the Informal Environmental Council on 29th October in Graz (Austria), which will focus on the “added value of an 8EAP at EU level”.
The expert workshops are part of our project „AT 18 – Von der österreichischen EU-Ratspräsidentschaft zum 8. EU-Umweltaktionsprogramm“, which is supported by the BMNT and the European Union.

Die Veranstaltungssprache ist Englisch.
